Younger looking skin is the desire of every woman and if the fountain of youth would have existed, woman would have given anything for just a sip of that magical water. Unfortunately, the fountain of youth is still elusive but that does not mean that you cannot have a younger looking skin. By simply following these five steps in your everyday life, you can easily retain the youthful glow of your skin.

1. Cleanse

The act of cleansing your skin is a very important process to make your skin look younger. Every day your skin absorbs oil, dirt, makeup and various types of impurities and so cleansing your skin with a proper cleanser helps your skin to get rid of these contaminants. It is also advisable to use the cleanser at night along with warm water but avoid using it more than once in a day as over cleansing can result in skin rashes, flakiness and acne.

2. Exfoliate

Using an exfoliating scrub once or twice a week can make your skin soft and smooth. Exfoliating helps in removing dead cells from your skin and clears the surface of your skin which facilitates moisturizers to go deep into the skin through the pores.

3. Moisturize

Aging makes your skin lose moisture resulting in dry patches, wrinkles and fine lines. So, by using moisturizers, you can hydrate your skin which helps in eliminating wrinkles, fine lines and dry patches. Therefore, before applying makeup and after cleansing your skin, apply a suitable moisturizing lotion every day.

4. Always wear sunscreen

Protect your skin from the heat of the sun as it is the most essential way for keeping your skin younger looking and healthy. Make a habit of applying sunscreen with SPF not less than 15 before leaving your house during the day. Do not refrain from using sunscreen during winter or on even on cloudy days.

5. Alter your lifestyle

Besides cleansing, moisturizing, exfoliating and using sunscreen, adopting a healthier lifestyle is the most effective way of retaining your youthful glow. Avoid smoking, have lots of fruits and green vegetables, avoid staying up late at night and exercise daily. So, maintaining these simple routines every day, you can easily make yourself look younger than your age.
